Abstract

Acetabular nonunion is a fortunately rare complication of an elementary or complex fracture. With regard to conditions of the cartilage of the acetabulum and head, head viability, coxofemoral congruence and dislocation and size of fragments, two surgical options may be considered: either reduction and synthesis after cruentation of the defect and bone graft apposition, or one- or two-stage arthroplasty.
