Abstract

In this paper the concepts of weighted arithmetic and geometric operators on IVPFSS are defined. Using both the arithmetic and geometric operators accuracy function is defined and the level of accuracy is calculated. The IVPFSS weighted aggregation operators are used to aggregate the IVPFSS information corresponding to each alternative. The alternatives are then ranked based on the values of the accuracy function. An algorithm based on this multi criteria decision-making method is developed. To illustrate this MCDM method five candidates (alternatives) are selected for a poetry competition and their poetic skills are taken as the parameters. The candidate whose accuracy function value is maximum is chosen as the winner. Comparison of accuracy function vales shows that the maximum values corresponding to the alternative A5 were on par with each other. However, the ranking of the other alternatives differ.
