Abstract

The paper’s purpose is to study the accumulated reliability of information hardware and software systems. The difference between hardware and software systems and information hardware and software systems is shown. A feature of information hardware and software systems is the software components presence. The software components allow for the possibility of eliminating errors during operation. This creates a condition for increasing the information hardware and software systems’ reliability during operation. The removable and non-removable errors concept of software components is introduced. The initial failure rate and limiting failure rate concept is introduced. Based on the analysis, the accumulated reliability concept is introduced, which is higher than the information and software systems initial reliability.
