Abstract
Acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine is essential to save student health and ensure educational safety. In this study carried out at the Hispano-America Educational Unit in the city of Ambato, the level of acceptance of mandatory vaccines against COVID-19 was investigated in a sample of 164 high school students. A data-gathering exercise was conducted, revealing that a significant percentage of respondents held misconceptions about the vaccine, including the idea that it contains microchips, causes variants, causes magnetism, and can lead to death. It is crucial to highlight the importance of addressing these misconceptions and promoting greater education and understanding about vaccines to improve vaccination uptake and coverage. In this regard, effective information and education programs are required to counter misinformation and encourage acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine.
