Abstract

This chapter primarily aims to recommend the best methodologies for research in Islamic finance. After identifying certain issues and challenges being faced by the Islamic finance industry, the most popular and readily employed Islamic instruments and models are explained in this study. This study is unique in its form because at this time of pandemic, when the evil of riba has badly disrupted the traditional financial businesses, this is the best time for the Islamic researchers to get conducively involved in research. The present study has attempted to identify and recommend the best existing research methodologies that have been traditionally used to study conventional finance theories, to apply Islamic finance, and vigorously promote and apply the concepts of Islamic finance. Therefore, this study is an insight into the most appropriate methodologies that could be employed to empirically explore, model, analyze, and evaluate the Islamic finance theories and models, respectively.
