Abstract
AC Juniper is an early maturing oat (Avena sativa L.) cultivar with high grain yield and good lodging resistance. It has a higher kernel weight, a higher percentage of plump kernels, and a lower percentage of thin kernels than Jasper. Its hull content is significantly lower than Cascade, similar to Jasper and Dumont, and higher than Derby. AC Juniper is well adapted to Alberta and the rust-free areas of western Saskatchewan.
