Abstract
Therapeutic strategies combining energy-based interventions and intratumoral immunotherapy are under investigation, however, the relationship between spatial energy-delivery profiles and bioeffects are not currently well understood. We are developing a microneedle array-based platform for experimental studies in small-animal tumor models investigating intratumoral immunotherapy in conjunction energy-based therapies. This abstract reports on the simulation-based characterization of spatially modulated thermal profiles achievable with the microneedle array.
