Abstract
Sarcopenia has been associated with increased morbidity and mortality in cirrhotic patients. Computed Tomography (CT) changes in body composition muscle and fat areas have been associated with outcomes in patients with sarcopenia. Our purpose was to identify comprehensive body composition changes on CT performed before and after TIPS using a validated semi-automatic algorithm at the L3 vertebral body level (Slice-O-matic software) and their correlation with survival.
