Abstract
Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a life-threatening complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). DKA is more commonly seen in patients with type 1 DM rather than type 2 DM. Though in recent years the incidence of DKA in patients with type 2 DM has increased, including euglycemic DKA (EDKA), with frequent use of sodium glucose transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. We present a case of severe EDKA leading to pulseless electrical activity (PEA) cardiac arrest.
