Abstract

This April, the National Abortion Federation (NAF) held its 42nd Annual Meeting. Social and clinical scientists presented new research to a community of providers, researchers, and advocates to improve quality of care and support our continued efforts to provide safe, accessible abortion care. Major trends in the research accepted to NAF reflect movements within the field. These include documenting the ongoing safety of abortion, reducing barriers, increasing convenience of clinical care, self- or community-managed abortion, and the impact of restrictive legislation. This commentary highlights oral abstracts presented at our annual meeting, which further our field and our cause.
