Abstract

A number of abnormalities in skeletal scintigrams have been observed, which occur in areas of bone in the proximity of tissues that have been subjected to radiation therapy. It is thought that the effects observed were due to incidental irradiation of the bone areas during treatment. Explanations for the anomalies observed in the scintigrams have been suggested.
