Abstract
In the present paper, a basic concept and the experimental technique of digital laser-speckle method are described to apply to the measurement of temperature field in a combustion flame. The temperature measurement is carried out in a laminar diffusion flame of methane in a still air, the result of which is compared with that of the thermo-couple. Although the result showed rough agreement with each other, the measurement accuracy is influenced by the uncertainty in the measured displacement of the speckle pattern, the distribution of gas constant, the density distribution of the combustion gas and the spatial resolution in the analysis.
