Abstract

This paper presents a weak formulation of Roe's approximate Riemann solver, based on a notion of weak solution to nonlinear hyperbolic systems in nonconservative form. This weak formulation is applied to the Euler equations for real gases and the homogeneous equilibrium two-phase flow model. Numerical results for a two-phase flow heat addition problem are given.
