Abstract

Numerov’s method is one of the most widely used algorithms for solving second-order ordinary differential equations of the form y’’ = f(x,y). The one-dimensional time-independent Schrodinger equation is a particular example of this type of equation. In this article we present a variable-step Numerov method for the numerical solution of the Schrodinger equation.
