Abstract
EDDIE is an interactive graphic editor for schematic capture and netlist generation. Its working model embodies a metaphorical description of the real world of the circuit designer. The designer requests functions by making phrases which consist of simple selections of icons. Any function can be chosen at any time; every function validates all the actions previously processed. EDDIE is completely specified and is currently being implemented.
