Abstract

This paper presents a two-PZT beam impact-excited energy harvester. It utilizes the unused space in the one-PZT beam impact-excited harvester to integrate the second PZT beam to increase the output power, which shares common parts such as cylinder, shaft and tube with the first PZT beam. An electrical signal processing and storage circuit has been developed for the harvester. The prototype is fabricated and tested. Experimental results show that the power density of the two-PZT beam harvester is 50.7% higher than that of the previously reported one-PZT beam harvester.
