Abstract
Elsie Osajima presented a speech at the 40th anniversary commemoration of the UCLA Asian American Studies Center on May 2009. Her speech discusses how she was hired to be an administrative assistant in the newly established Asian American Studies Center during the Vietnam War, women's movement, and the movement for people of color.
