Abstract
In this paper, a transmittive/absorptive Frequency selective surface (FSS) is proposed. The integrated FSS consists of two layers of resistors loaded in double square loops and one layer of band-stop arrays. The top two layers and the bottom band-stop arrays are separated by a foam layer. The proposed FSS allows the lower frequency wave to transmit while the higher frequency wave is absorbed. In lower frequency band, the insertion loss is far below -3dB. In higher frequency band, the absorption is higher than 90%, under normal incidence. In addition, the proposed FSS exhibits great resonant stability and good absorption rate. The incidence angle of transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) polarization is 0° (normal incidence) to 40°. In addition, the prototype of FSS has been measured and produced. The measured results are in good agreement with the simulation results.
