Abstract

A model for the dynamic oxygen equilibrium in a Czochralski silicon melt is presented, which takes both chemical reactions and physical transport processes into account, and derives the time‐dependent effect on the bulk oxygen concentration from changes in boundary layer thicknesses, surface temperatures, and pressure. An attempt to simulate a growth run of a Czochralski silicon crystal with constant axial oxygen concentration is presented.
