Abstract
Web application plays an important role in compute application. User management system is a significant part in web application system, especially in a large scale software system. In the user management models of existed web application systems, role is a one-dimensional space. It contains only a set of authorities, and lacks of the control of valid scopes and permission time. A three-dimensional role is presented. It is a set of three-dimensional vectors composed of authorities, scopes, and permission time. Moreover, a three-dimensional role based user management model is proposed. Analysis in mathematical approach proves that the model is independent of business requirements in information systems. It results in that the model is suitable for the user management subsystem of every business information system.
