Abstract

When it comes to human rights violations, violence against women is a major problem. In the last two decades, violence against women has become the world's most serious scourge. Despite the government's taking all necessary steps, daily violence is increasing. Domestic violence is a global issue that cuts across cultures, religions, classes, and countries. Despite its widespread occurrence, such violence has long been perceived as an inescapable matter of legal or political concern. Because of the cultural creation of public-private divides, domestic abuse against women is hidden. Women's violence has a variety of harmful repercussions. Lower socioeconomic status, dysfunctional families, and gender inequality are all instances. It causes estrangement and separation from couples, divorce, physical health problems, and emotional and psychological health problems in women's daily lives. Education and job for women help to reduce violence against women to a larger extent. Mass awareness campaigns organized by women activists and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are critical in reducing violence against women.
