Abstract
A generalized non-Gaussian diffusion model for turbulent shear flow is developed on the basis of statistical theory and K-theory. The conventional Guassian diffusion model is a special case of the present model. Analytical methods are also developed for evaluating diffusion parameters that are obtained from the Monin-Obukhov similarity theory for the surface boundary layer. The concentration distributions predicted by the theory are in excellent agreement with observations.
