Abstract

In this work, a new theoretical approach is suggested for calculating the Stark component intensities of spectral lines in atomic emission spectra in an alternating circularly polarized electric field. In the framework of the proposed approach, regularities in the behaviour of the Stark component intensities in emission spectra of rare gas atoms in the electric field have been revealed. The found regularities have allowed us to clarify mechanisms of increasing intensity of spectral lines and their quenching in the electric field.
