Personnel PsychologyVolume 2, Issue 1 p. 75-91 A Test Battery for Selecting Technical Magazine Editors Lawrence Edwin Abt, Lawrence Edwin Abt Lawrence Edwin Abt is a Research Associate in Psychology, College of Engineering, New York University, where he has supervised psychological research since 1947. From 1938 to 1942 he was Special Research Assistant, National Council, Boy Scouts of America, During the war, he served as Chief of the Psychological Unit, Neuropsychiatric Service, U. S. Naval Hospital at St. Albans, New York, with the rank of Lieutenant, USNR. During 1946, he was with the Personnel Research Section, AGO, War Department, and a Lecturer in Psychology at Brooklyn College. Since 1947, he has been Consultant in Personnel Research to the Personnel Institute, Inc. and is now its Director of Research. His Ph.D. is from New York University. The writer gratefully acknowledges the substantial aid and counsel provided at all stages of the research by Mr. Eugene S.
