Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a certain system approach to a search of laws of empirical theories. For this purpose the notion ‘dimensional system’ is introduced. Dimensional system is defined by the language (the axiomatical language of dimensional analysis), parameters (subsets of the language) and relations between input and output parameters (invariant dimensional calculable functions). Intuitively, dimensional system is understood as a certain abstract model of a part of reality. Dimensional systems are treated as a connection between systems theory and empirical theories. The above formalism allows us to search for laws by means of identification methods being used in the systems theory the examples of which are presented.
