A survey on the impact of motorways on agriculture

Abstract

This paper looks into the ways in which farmers and farms are affected by motorways running through or near to their land. The investigation was based on an extensive questionnaire covering many aspects of farming. The more important of these questions are described and discussed in the text. Two farming communities were investigated; one near a newly opened motorway, the other, near a motorway which had been open several years. The two groups are compared in the text.
