Abstract
This paper presents a survey of the application and research progress of inorganic coagulants, high polymer coagulants and compound coagulants in treatment of dyeing wastewater. After introducing the coagulation mechanism, the review is organized with respect to the characteristic of water quality and the present industrial practice of dyeing wastewater. Since the compound coagulant is the mainstream practice, we concentrate on the current technologies on this subject and discuss its future trend.
