Abstract
This article proposes a modified control method to improve the bus voltage deviation and power sharing among the sources in multi bus DC microgrid. In DC Microgrid bus voltage regulation and load sharing between the sources is necessary for reliable and stable operation of system. The bus system in microgrid improves the reliability of overall system in case of bus failure. In the multi bus system, the line resistances and power flow in the system deviates the load bus voltage from its nominal value. It also affects the power sharing between the sources. The proposed control scheme overcomes the bus voltage deviation from its nominal value without affecting the power sharing among the sources. It also mitigates the power sharing mismatch because of unequal line resistances in multi bus system. The overall control is operated in distributed control with shared data from low bandwidth communication links. The designed control scheme balances the power flow within the DC microgrid along with energy storage system (ESS) operation. The proposed control scheme is verified in real time simulator.
