Environmental engineering is a branch of environmental science. It mainly studies the disciplines that use engineering techniques and related disciplines to protect and rationally utilize natural resources and prevent environmental pollution to improve environmental quality. The main contents of environmental engineering include air pollution control engineering, water pollution prevention and control engineering, solid waste treatment and utilization, and noise control. Environmental engineering also studies methods and measures for integrated environmental pollution prevention and the use of systems engineering methods to seek the best solution to environmental problems from a regional perspective.
