Abstract

The prevalence of stress-related problems and deprived overall subjective well-being are very common among women. Aim and objectives: To assess the impact of mindfulness meditation by comparing the perceived scores of stress levels and subjective well-being. Methodology: The researcher collected the data from Mohali, Chandigarh, Panchkula. The total sample for the pilot study was 40. The sociodemographic data were filled with two scales perceived stress scale and subjective well-being inventory by the housewives. Results 3(15%) were under high perceived stress, followed by 14(70%) moderate, and 3(15%) under low perceived stress level. In SUBI, 6(30%) were belongs to high subjective well-being followed by 13(65%) were belongs to moderate, and 1(15%) belongs to low subjective well-being score. Conclusion: The stress score were found to be significantly associated with the age of housewives, socio-economic status. In SUBI, there is an association of subjective well-being with the family source of income.
