A Study on the Transforming of Vacant Space and Existing Condition of Greenery in Low-rise and High Density Residential Districts

This study was carried out to understand two items. The first one is to classify vacant space through existing condition, and to investigate the change of vacant space, the other one is to manifest the density condition in greenery open space. Through the investigation, we recognize that the vacant space was reduced to a limitation in the low-rise and high density district. Inquiring the vacant space by use-categories, we also find out the remarkable trend that public vacant space and semi-public vacant space were slightly increased but private vacant space was converted to public vacant and semi-public vacant. And the vacant space was decreased to a limitation, 5-10 percent of greenery ratio could be guaranteed through the analysis of vacant space existence.
