Abstract

Due to a rapid development of IT and various computerized educational devices, e-learning has been spread out widely to the nation and the world. This study is to explore that learners’ positive feelings in online English classrooms affect their study performance. In addition, this study is to investigate the relationship between the online content environment and the study performance. Lastly, it aims to show that satisfaction with online lectures influences learners’ study performances. From the literature review and experts’ opinion, the measurement scales for the learners’ feeling, content environment, and lecture satisfaction are developed. From on-site survey, a total of 389 useful data were collected and analyzed. The data analysis shows that a positive feeling towards online study, authentic content environments, and content satisfaction critically affect learners’ study performance. It is expected that the findings of this study would help online study planners and educators to develop more engaging, effective, and efficient online English learning content and environments.
