Abstract

The present study aims at analyzing the incidence of the creative attitudes and of locus of control i n the personality structure of the teachers and students preparing for the didactic career. In this sense we have supposed that locus of control correlates significantly with creative attitudes and their didactic experience. As working tools, we have used a Locus of Control Scale for measuring the internal, ambivalent and external orientation and a Creative Attitudes Questionnaire. The conclusions of the investigation on the implications of locus of control and of creative attitudes in the structure of didactic competence emphasized the fact that locus of control holds a certain significance in the structure of the educators’ personality and the creative a ttitudes supporting performances in the didactic activity are mediated by the internal/external orientation of behaviour.
