Abstract

ABSTRACTSingle crystals of zinc sulphate monohydrate doped glycine have been synthesized using slow evaporation technique at room temperature using water as a solvent. Single crystal XRD revealed that the grown crystal belonged to monoclinic structure and crystalline nature was confirmed by Powder XRD analysis. Optical behaviour of the grown crystals was verified by UV spectroscopy and NLO studies. The FTIR spectrum had been recorded in the region 4000–400 cm−1 to identify the functional groups. TGA study was performed which proved that the crystal was thermally stable. The dielectric response of the crystal at various frequencies was studied and the results are discussed.
