Abstract
As an important research branch of artificial intelligence, the expert system theory has a strong application value. The system is able to reflect the evaluating and analyzing process of operations and behaviors of a relay protection device. It is in line with the development trend of smart grids. On this basis, with transformer substations of more than 110kV subordinated to a grid of a region as research objects, the author evaluates and analyzes operations and behaviors of the relay protection device in element malfunctions.
