Abstract

AbstractWith the rapid development of higher education in China, the archives of universities have been managing more and more archives, and many universities have been equipped with archives management software to manage archives by computer. However, the mainstream archives management software for universities does not have the function of automatically classifying archival documents. In order to reduce the workload of university archivists, this paper improves some steps in the traditional Chinese text classification algorithm according to the characteristics of archives managed by universities, based on the characteristics of university archives such as periodicity, repetitiveness and knowledge, and also drawing on the experience of archivists in manually classifying It also explores an automatic text classification method suitable for university archives, based on the characteristics of university archives, such as periodicity, repetition and knowledge, while drawing on the classification method in which archivists can determine the category of archives by simply observing their proper title name and responsible person information when classifying them manually.KeywordsText classificationUniversity archivesManagement
