Abstract

As Thailand is a developing country, electrical resource management is one of the important foundations to enhance new and advanced technologies. It also enhances the well-being of the people with more increased average electrical power generation and consumption of the country. However, when we considered consumers, the power consumption behavior in each household is different. The different behaviors affect monthly electricity fees bill. Responding to the reduction of wasteful energy consumption of household to reduce next monthly bill is also different too. In this research, we are finding appropriateness of energy consumption reduction in home which does not over-affect users. We consider the reacting behavior of the users when notified with exceeding consumption signal. This paper is presented, using the power consumption data simulation in one month as basis data. In the following month, we use those basis data as a criterion to control the consumption every period of 15 minutes. We assumed that user expects to discount the amount of the energy consumption targets at 10%, 15% and 20%, and the reacting behavior of the user at 5%, 10 % and 15% when power consumption is over the limit. The simulated power consumption data cause the first monthly fee at 1,537 baht. We found in this study that the target that user expects to decrease power consuming at 20% and 5% reacting to the over limited power, is the best strategy to reduce the power consumption for this data set.
