Abstract
Since recent projects in construction industry are getting more complicated and larger, there are many difficulties in collaboration and communication for participation subjects. This can causes some troubles. To solve this problems, BIM, which is one of the big paradigms in construction industry, has a great impact on the Life Cycle from design to construction & facility management. For this reason, Korean government suggests that participation subjects should follow a policy on BIM utilization. In addition, there are some studies about compatibility and conversion of information to relieve difference with construction process. On this study, based on IFC(Industry Foundation Classes), which is international standard format developed by building SMART(International Alliance for Interoperability) for exchange standardized information, development of information conversion system as IFC4 standardized format is suggested and information conversion system framework and concept of BIM data is founded. This technology can be utilized tool of rapid and exact data conversion to realize OPEN BIM. Plus, it can be used in infrastructure as well as Architecture.
