Summary
In this paper, which examined the stability to be given to the electric power system in the case of replacing the original generator with BESS in the ‘recovery plan at all power failure’ established and operated at the present power exchange. Recovery plans utilizing existing self-starting generators have drawbacks that high voltage is generated by transmission lines for a long time due to position constraints of hydraulic power and pumped-storage power generation. Using BESS, we analysed with the expectation of the effect that it is possible to shorten the recovery time by high speed and to reduce it to the time transmission line, by substituting the original starting and generator. In this analysis, static analysis and dynamic analysis were performed by replacing pumped-storage power generator with BESS for the preliminary transmission line in the restoration procedure of the Yeongnam area. Static interpretation confirms whether overvoltage and low voltage are generated, and in dynamic analysis, it is checked whether BESS possesses voltage regulating ability of time transmission system, whether there is no problem in starting power supply, and maintains frequency
