Abstract

Room temperature 89Y NMR has been carried out on aligned Y 1−Ca xBa 2Cu 3O 6+∂, for 0.00≤ x≤0.25 and ∂≤0.15. Spectra were double-peaked for doped samples in the parallel position, with Knight shifts converging at higher doping concentrations. The orientation dependence of the x=0.14 was also determined. The data has been fitted by a nearest/next-nearest neighbour calculation via interactions with the plane coppers. This indicates the possibility of observing inequivalent Y sites due to the introduction of calcium.
