Abstract
A method of elaboration of polysilicion ribbons for solar energy conversion using powder as a starting material has been developed. Calculations and experiments show the efficiency of two simultaneous purification processes, i.e. zone melting purification and evaporation of impurities in vacuum allow the use of ordinary grade and thus of low cost silicon powder.
