Abstract

The pattern of power consumption in case of borehole oil production by electrical centrifugal pumps units is considered. More than 54 % of the whole RF well stock is equipped by electrical centrifugal pumps; 75 % of the produced oil is extracted from these wells. The losses in the following elements of the pump unit are analyzed: the electric motor, the cable line, the transformer, the control station and the centrifugal pump. The results of the losses calculation for one of the wells are presented. It is found that less than 20...30 % of the consumed power is spent for lifting the borehole fluid, the losses in the pump are up to 50 %, and the losses in the electric motor are up to 15 %. The losses in other pump unit elements (the cable line, the transformer, the control station and the projector) are significantly lower. The methods of optimization of the electrical energy consumption by the well pumps, such as the use of the intelligent control stations, are considered.
