Abstract

This paper deals with the suppressing energy deficiency by use of a prototype Vienna rectifier which is coupled to the squirrel cage induction generator. Today's world is suffering from energy deficiency due to which the production and other requirements which are needed in daily activities had stopped working. This paper mainly deals about the correction of energy deficiency and increase the power to suppress the power demand. This thesis is mainly useful in increase of voltage level from small level to larger level with the power factor reaching nearer to unity. This can be mainly used in power production areas where the generated voltages can have good step up level. The voltage level contains minimum amount of losses which is negligible due to power factor correction. Here the generation area which is taken is wind energy conversions systems using self excited induction generators. By means of wind systems the generation will be in a very small amount and by use of Vienna rectifier the step up can be done with negligible losses. The complexity will be very less and the grid connected area will be located nearer to the conversion systems. While the time of transmission of the generated power, it is converted to dc so that the conversion will be quite easier. Here the Vienna rectifier acting as the converter to convert ac to dc and to a step up converter for step up process. It is obtained by use of two types of voltage inputs supplied to the Vienna Rectifier. One is Variable Input with Constant Frequency and the other is Constant Input with Constant Frequency.
