Abstract
In this paper, a mathematical model using the dual stream function method is proposed to investigate the plastic deformation behavior of the rod in the roll-gap during planetenshrägwalzwerk (PSW) rolling processes. The rolling torque and the initial velocity of the product are predicted under various rolling conditions such as the angular velocity of the roll, the diameter of the rod at the entrance, friction factor, inclined angle and offset angle, etc.
