Abstract

This paper studies the deformation behavior of commercially pure aluminum 1050A during creep tests at room temperature. The plastic flow parameters at the stage of steady-state creep at different stress levels are determined. The kinetics of localized plasticity zones in the creep mode is studied using the digital image correlation method. The stress dependence of the spatial period of plastic strain localization is established.
