Abstract

It is essential to cultivate the basic skills for employment or further study for vocational high school students. Once having enough learning motivation and have learned the skills by acquiring some food and beverage certificates, they have paved a better way for their future Employment. The research aims to understand the learning motivation and hindering for certificates in the vocational high school students of the department of food and beverage in Taiwan. We take questionnaires in this study and 229 students become the targets. The information is collected and analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent samples T test, one-way ANOVA, etc. The main findings are summarized into the following conclusions: 1. When it comes to the differences in learning hindrance when students have, or don't have certificates; according to the statistics, in the learning hindrances, the average number passes t-test, reaching significant 0.1 standard. Once we further analyze the difference, students without certificates, in the aspect of learning hindrance, apparently score higher than the ones with level-c license. 2. Speaking of the influence of passing rate of licenses on learning motivation and learning hindrance, the students passing the license without any failure score significantly higher than those failing the license. In the aspect of learning hindrance, those who do not pass the license apparently score higher than their counterparts who pass the licenses in their opportunity. 3. When we analyze the difference between the practicing hours and learning motivation, statistics show that when you practice more than five hours, you score higher in learning motivation than those who practice less than one hours.
