Abstract

La-doped Bi 2Ti 2O 7 nanocrystals have been prepared using chemical solution deposition technique. The (Bi 1− x La x ) 2Ti 2O 7 phase is stable at a high temperature (800 °C). The morphologies of SEM show that the average size of the powders is about 200 nm. The precursor powders were examined by DTA and TGA with thermal analyzers. UV–Vis absorption spectra were measured for the samples; their band gap estimated to be about 3.4 eV.
