Abstract
Abstract The etching condition of LR-115 has been changed when it was irradiated by high neutron flux in a thermal nuclear reactor. The optimum etching condition of LR-115 from the same batch has also been studied for the registration of alpha particles of energy 2.23 MeV emitted from the radioactive decay of 147Sm. Results of the optimum conditions for the etching of LR-115 in 2 N NaOH etchant are 68°C and 30 min for the registration of the alpha particles from 147Sm and 37°C and 50 min for the alpha particles from the 6Li (n,α) reaction irradiated by high intergral neutron flux.
