Abstract

In this work we aim to bridge theoretical immunology and disordered statistical mechanics. We introduce a model for the behavior of B-cells which naturally merges the clonalselection theory and the autopoietic network theory as a whole. From the analysis of itsfeatures we recover several basic phenomena such as low-dose tolerance, dynamical memoryof antigens and self/non-self discrimination.
