Abstract
In this study, first, the usability of clear sky radiation for predicting the average solar radiation, and the effect of geographical and meteorological parameters on the monthly mean global solar radiation in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan were investigated. A multiple linear regression was applied to nine geographical and meteorological data sets, which were monthly mean clear sky and extraterrestrial radiation, the ratio of bright sunshine hours to day length, ambient and soil temperatures, humidity, sine of declination angle, the ratio of and . The solar radiation estimated from the models was compared with the meteorological values by using t-test and F-statistic, mean bias error, and root mean square error.
